I love my friends. Wholeheartedly. And I (as they can tell you) am a Facebook devotee – not only do I read and comment on their pages, I update my status with a frequency that borders on obsession.
For example, today I’ve gone through ‘ClairvoyInt would be pissed about the 8 am meeting, except that she’s the one who called it’, ‘ClairvoyInt is wondering why ‘tramp stamp’ is among the most searched terms on google today’, and ‘ClairvoyInt is super duper extra cranky because of a snotty email from a fill-in tech’.
(I haven’t gotten into Twitter yet, but that’s mostly because I have roughly four minutes of free time a day right now and I’m fairly sure I’d happily twitter them away.)
Sooooooo – you’d think I’d be thrilled about
Google Latitude. Not only can I find out what my friends are doing, I can see where they’re doing it? That sounds GREAT! Except… kind of not. For completely selfish reasons. Why, you ask? Well, I personally live in about 10 sq miles. Maybe less. Boring.
I won’t be able to solidify my opinion until I can try it, and I can’t try it until the iPhone app arrives. So until then, my whereabouts will remain a mystery – kind of the way I like it.
